What middle name would you use with Annie?

Annie is one of our favourite girls' names but I'm struggling a bit with middle name to put with it. Our surname has one syllable so am thinking of a longer middle name like Elizabeth, Catherine etc. Anyone have a DD called Annie with a better middle name?

Just from your thread title, I was going to suggest Elizabeth! I think you're right to favour a longer mn.

Know you wanted something longer but how about Annie May, one of DS best friends is called this and she is lovely.

For longer names how about Christabel, Sylvia, Emmeline or is there a family name you could use?

Thanks for all the suggestions! Annie May is lovely actually and it might go quite well with our surname even though its short. Elizabeth is my mum's name so that's where that one came from.

Jemima was also my gran's name incidentally but my cousin has used it for her DD's mn so might not go for that one. Juliet good too - that is on our list of first names!

I never know with middle names whether to pick a family name or just go for a name we really like (one that we might be a bit timid to use as a first name) - it's almost like getting a bonus name thrown in for free!

Incidentally, we have no idea which sex our baby is!!!

I love Annie Rose although everyone would assume you were a fan of the Alfie books. Beautiful name though.

Annie Rose is lovely but I'd use Annie Rosemary just to tweak it slightly. Flows better. Less predictable.

DD2 is Anna Cordelia May, known as Annie. We chose family names for our DC's middle names, but only if we liked them IYKWIM.

I know it's not long but Annie Grace is nice.

Annie Violet?
I'd never really had any opinion on Violet but as it was DH grandmother's name we decided to have it as dd's middle name. Now I think that it is really pretty especially after a short first name.
