Alicia Silverstone has named her first child Bear Blu Jarecki!!! I'm all for unusual names, but feel this is quite simply bonkers!!!!

It's effing ridiculous. I know she's a crusty yoga-loving vegan but FFS that's an idiotic name for a living person.

Poor child.

On a side note, do you reckon her and hubby are

Bear? Doesn't Jamie Oliver have one too?

Don't like it personally but it's got to be better than Moroccan Grin.

Yes, Buddy Bear Maurice is Jamie's child, an equally horrendous monikerGrin

Morocco maybe, but Moroccan is just cruel!

No, I wouldn't. But I have recently heard of a Bee and a Fox, so maybe animal names are this year's thing!

No, I wouldn't - it's bloody stupid.

I'm not keen. I do know a Tiger and a Wolf. I wonder what animals are next - Dog, Elephant, Spider?

I quite like Bear (makes me think of Bear Grylls) but it's too cutesy with the Blu.

I feel 'Bear Blu' could lead to misunderstandings.

Especially amongst those who cannot spell, and confuse 'bare' with 'bear'.

Wouldn't work for me at all.

She should just drop the 'bear' and go with Blu which is a very fine name.

I like Bear. I would tolerate DH wanting Edward as I would call the baby Teddy Bear and then drop the teddy bit.
