How about Lucia, it's very pretty and not as popular as LucySmile

What sort of names do you like, short/long, mod/trad, unusual etc...?

we chose abigail as it is not very common and according to anarticle we read in a newspaper on a poll of teachers, they said girls called abigail were the nicest in the class!! we didnt find that out until she was 3 months old though!

Cant have a name with an a sound at the end due to our surname so things like francesca are out.

Not too bothered about length etc oh and not one that starts with an m due to our other daughters name.... ;)

I'm teacher in a school of approx 350 and there are only 3 Lucy's that I can think of. It's not uncommon but I don't think it's at epidemic proportions yet.

Mind you we're 7 up s there might be multitudes of Lucys in the nursery/infant sections of the school, I don't know.

Avoiding a ends and m starts (rules out a surprising number of my favourites) I like:
amber, autumn, amy, daisy, felicity, grace, harriet, isabel, juliette, madeleine, natalie, zoey

Lucy is lovely! Quite popular but it's classic not faddy, so I think it's okay.

I would use it myself but my cousin just had used it for her new DD so I probably can't!

I'm a Lucy (age 37) - always liked it. Felt like I could be anyone and not aligned to any class etc.

I think Lucy is lovely! Can't think of any Lucys in my DD's school.

I also like Nancy, Grace and Eleanor if you're looking for inspiration.
