We're only ttc at the moment and is to go with sibling Eliza (not Elizabeth).
Also which of the pronunciations is most popular do you think? Is it getting more popular? as we've met a couple of young Clementines recently.

Boys name is already decided and would be Louis.

I love it. I know of a few now, but it's still fairly unusual.

The Clementines I know pronounce it Clemen-tyne. Louis is lovely too. As is Eliza!

It's still unusual that's good to know. I know Eliza isn't unusual but something like Clementine would lose its charm if it became top 10.

Clementyne pronunciation is the one we both like.

I love Clementine, but only pronounced clem-ehn-teen, as the 'tyne' pronunciation is an Americanisation.

The world's most famous Clementine was, without doubt, Clementine Churchill and hers was pronounced with the (correct) 'teen' pronunciation.

I love the name, and would assume it was pronounced Clementyne. I must have become Americanised .

Goes very well with Eliza (as does Louis).

Actually the pronunciation Clemen'teen' instead of 'tyne' is French, not English.

Was my 'special' name but ruined by 'flemmy Clemmie', 'Orange' and that bloody song...... I couldn't go through life having that sung at me every day

Plus it's very try hard sloany.

I changed my mind to Clemency instead. Similar but without the orange link or the song! Plus I'm not keen on 'ine' endings, they seen hideously 70's... Christine, Pauline etc.

I like it, pronounced Clementyne and with Clemmie as the nickname. Never knew Clemency was a name - have only heard it used as 'legal forgiveness'
