Jamie Oliver, in recognition of his splendid recipes
Just not Oliver James, because he is an arse.

Oliver

Was what DD was going to be called had she been a boy.

Jamie is ok, but I would have to use James on the birth ceetificate personally, and not as keen on that.

I love Ollie. There is no need to change it though, surely you can just call him Jamie. I know a few people call by their middle name or even something random!

both nice in very different ways. maybe you could wait til he is born and see if he looks like an Oliver or a Jamie.

I think.... I can see your dilemma as Jamie is very lovely for a little one. But imagine your little boy as a grown man in his 30s, 40s, 50s... suddenly Oliver seems very appealing, don't you think?? I think Oliver is a name that you can grow with and grow into. And while I love Jamie, I think the 'sweetness' of this name peaks somewhere between 0-10 years......or maybe 0-20 years, but anyway, somewhere before mature adulthood..... not sure if this is making any sense.... but basically, both lovely names and try not to worry!!!

I like both - and Jamie is quite popular round here, for people of my generation as well as wee ones. I have several adult friends called Jamie, and it's not an issue at all, totally normal
