Do you like any of them? Like them all? Dislike one, two or all? Thoughts please!

I like Jared best.

Ethan is ok, but very popular (at least where I live).

Caleb not my favourite (but not awful).

Totally agree with Norman.

Ethan is very popular.

Not sure I like the others. Could I convince you to consider Nathan, Gabriel, Gideon, Josiah?

Caleb, then Jared.
Really not keen on Ethan.

I really like Caleb, makes me think of Kings of Leon which is a good thing. Also seems a really cool but masculine name.

Jared I think is a bit naff, also a Kings of Leon name, are you a fan Smile. Imo a bit too american maybe.

Ethan not too keen, a bit erm common... sorry.

What about Jonas, Abel, Heath, Nathan ( the other brother in Kings of Leon), I think I prefer Nathaniel but both nice enough.

Ooo, Nathan is a good one. DS is already Jared (I go on and off this name so I'm glad the general consensus is a like!) and we are looking at names for a brother. We want to stick with Old Testament but not something totally outlandish - Methuselah anyone?! I also really like Micah, Malachi and Levi but I always think of Levi as a bit of a 'troublemaker' name.

Ethan is becoming very popular - know several of all different ages.

In fact 1 Ethan I know has a younger brother Caleb.

I like Jared the best but not keen on any really.

Caleb Smile

What about Isaac? That's old testament and lovely IMO

Report
cece · 23/02/2011 21:57

Not keen on any of them - sorry

jenga079 · 23/02/2011 22:16

They're all on my list (along with Isaac) so I love all of them.

However, if you already have a Jared, it seems a bit 'Kings of Leon' to go for Caleb... (but then, how many people would realise?)

It's ok not to like Jared, I wouldn't have posted if I didn't want opinions :) I thought it was a fairly straightforward name but he is constantly called 'Gerrard' which is annoying.

My dad actually thought we had made the name up until someone at his workplace told him about the Kings of Leon. I had actually not heard of the band before then Blush

Of the three I'd go for Ethan.

Really, really love Jared and that would be the name I would choose if I was to have a son.

Like them all, love Caleb.

I do know 3 Ethans but they are all gorgeous lovely boys!

Not Ethan or Jared for me I'm afraid. I like Caleb. What about Elijah? Or Jonah?

I have a Jared & he's 4yrs old.
I should have guessed what was to come when the midwife asked me what we were calling our son (an hour after my c-section) & i said Jared and she replied "Gerrard is a lovely name".

Teachers at school keep calling him Gerrard which i find annoying. He's said to me before "My name is Gerrard" Hmm .

DH is "Jarrod" so I love! (nn Jerry Grin)

There's a Caleb in work - I think people always think "ooh, that's an unusual name" when they hear it and of course it helps that he then turns out to be young & good-looking

Love Caleb and Ethan (my 2.5 DS is an Ethan and despite everyone saying how popular it's becoming, I think I've only met 2 others but then he's not at school yet. Damnit, when he was born everyone kept saying what a nice uncommon name it was!)

Not keen on Jared
