Has anyone ever used this for dressmaking?

I inherited a pack from 1978 (the receipt was still tucked inside!) from DH's grandmother, and I've never dared to use it as I have only just got confident enough to take a project on - it doesn't come with instructions on how to construct the patterns.

Of course there is also the fact that pattern's are the same age as me.... however some have stood the test of time. Is it worth giving it a go?!
