How does DD1 make decorations with crepe paper? Book/Web site recommendations please.

DD1 is keen on making decorations and so far has done about a mile of paper chains. I remember my sister making streamers at home years ago with crepe paper but can't remember exactly how...
Anyone recommend a book or magazine with ideas?I'm going to Sainsburys now so will have a look at their mag section.
