Make your own wall decals?

Has anybody made their own wall decals/stickers before? Was it difficult? Did they stay up?

It looks pretty easy, but I'm struggling to find pastel coloured self adhesive vinyl/sticky back plastic. Can anyone point me in the right direct?

That or if anyone knows where to get pastel coloured polka dot stickers that don't cost £££ off Etsy, that'd be great!

Sounds interesting...are you intending to cut it free hand ?

I bet fuzzy flux would work well.

I'm planning on just tracing around dinner plates with a scalpel, I wouldn't dare attempt anything more complicated with my artistic, umm, skills.

Repositional fabric...might work but not cheap.
