Knitting Pattern. Help!

Hi there :) I'm doing my first knitting pattern, and I'm a little confused as to what this second section is asking me to do: (I'll post a pic)

It's the bit after it says 'Shape raglan armholes' that I don't quite get:

Keeping patt correct as set, cast off 2 sts at beg of next 2 rows 61 sts.
Dec 1 st at each end of next and every alt row until there are 22 sts.

Could someone please explain this last bit to me? My thoughts are that when it's telling me to 'keep patt correct as set', it means that I have to do the pattern it instructed me to do in the previous section, is that correct?

Thank You

I'll state the obvious, just in case it needs to be said. When you start decreasing it means that you can't follow the pattern as it is written. That's why it says "keeping pattern correct as set" The pattern on your knitting should look exactly the same as it did before the shaping but you might be starting the row with a knit instead of a purl.
