Could you knit for someone seriously ill?

My friend Vikki is asking people to help her reach her 30 wishes for her 30th birthday on Sunday, as she is severely disabled with ME. Two of the wishes involve knitting:
Knit a blanket for someone who is bedbound.
Make an I-spy bag or a twiddle muff - just check it out, instructions included!
Could you use your skills to make one of these things and help Vikki reach her target?
