I'm trying to think of funny slogans for some baby T-shirts for two friends of mine. When I had DD I was given a top that said 'Property of Mr & Mrs Smith' that was really cute and a bit different.

The first friend is having her third baby and it's a girl. She has two boys already so I was thinking of something along the lines of 'Don't mess with me or my brothers will get you' but in a much more witty and articulate manner! The friend is American and her husband is English so I was also considering '50% American, 50% English, 100% Gorgeous'.

The second friend is having her third baby and she has a boy and a girl. I was thinking of '3 is a magic number' but DH says that doesn't mean anything in England. I'm American and it's from a children's educational programme in the States. I thought it was a universal saying but DH disagrees. I can't think of anything else!

Three is a magic number was a song on Schoolhouse Rock in the US. I don't know if it was ever released as a single in the States though. Very catchy. I've had it in my head all day.

BAT, I quite like 'yay, no penis' but not sure the friend would go for it unfortunately.

The Magic Number song was done by DeLa Soul late 80s/early 90s

How about 'Thrice as nice'?

How about 'third time's a charm. . . and I'm the charm!'

I saw one like this on a wee girl with two brothers. It said Brothers for sale - Buy one , get one free! Her brother had one that said Sister for sale , no reasonable offer refused!

Hullabaloo, love the 'brothers for sale' idea! Think I'll go with that one.

Mistyspeaks, I like that one too. What about 'Third times a charmer'. Does that make sense? And is it rude to her other two children?

No more rude than - brothers for sale!!! I think they should see the funny side, but you know how your friends would take it. Good luck. And yes it does make sense (to me at least!)

How about the old "One for sorrow, two for joy, three for a girl...." thing?

Third time lucky?

But then doesn't that sound rude towards the boys?

I quite like "third time lucky"
or just "Three for a Girl"

oh a bit rude to the boys is fine, surely

Actually T-shirts with jovial captions on them are just annoying, as a rule
