Disney Fancy Dress

Not sure if this is the right topic really but......

DD 17 months has got a fancy dress day at nursery tomorrow (I know, a bit late).

Have any of you any ideas please? I'm not a dress maker and I don't really want to buy something just for one day either.

Anything simple please?

was thinking minnie mouse.

She has a red top with white spots on but no black shorts.

She has a white dress and I could get some ribbon for her waist, I have some gold ribbon. I've just found some fabric in my sewing box which would look fab with her white dress. What else would I need? tia

Got anything red (trousers and top) - we took DS as an Incredible.. red babygrow (but thinking yours won't be wanting a babygrow ), and a scrap of black material with eye holes cut out.

incredibles

Or... trying to think about the rest of the party - there were lots of Pirates (of the caribbean)

never mind, thanks for thinking of her though.

I'm sure i'll come up with something, unless you know of anywhere local that sells anything like that cheaply?

I think the tigger outfit would be to big for her tbh, thanks anyway .

Hi Surfermum, I may make a few calls to see what they have. I only saw the poster this morning . Don't suppose dd will realise but will dress her in either pirate or some sort of princess affair if all esle fails.

Well, she went to nursery dressed as a rather pretty pirate . She had her white cropped trousers on and a red spotty top. I sewed, yes sewed a couple of pieces of material together to make a band for her waist and she had another piece tied around her head! She didn't like band on her head though so it's ended up as a neckerchief!

Very fetching she looked and I think the nursery staff were impressed. They had a spare sword that they gave her which she was brandishing as I left
