yes it is static

there are a few solutions- you can buy static sheets to wipe the paper with, but a bounce tumble drier sheets works as well TBH. Or some talcum in the toe of a pair of tights. just dust then emboss as per normal.

I always keep a brush (I use a large sift blusher brush) handya s well, to remove specks.

You also have to consider your paper- some papers are gits for this, but that's something you pick up as you go along really.

I'd get the bounce then.

It can also be helped by being really, really quick with the powder- I have mine lid off all ready to go (don't blow it with the jheat gun tho- as I have realised LOL). Then you can afford to tap the paper REALLY hard as the ink sticks marvellously when really wet.

What type of card and powder are you using (and ink)

Yes, whispers ink dries too quickly IMO.

Heat it up is OK, versamark are really good though and easy to find.

It will help

Don't practice on computer paper or anything with a texture, as theya cn catch. Bazzill card is nice to stamp on though I think, and for practice just use a scrap on scrap[ping paper.

Also keep your fingers off the paper as the grease from your fingers transfers to the paper. Give it a quick wipe with a bounce tumble dryer sheet or some talc in a stocking
