I have some plain cushions I fancy having a go at jazzing up.

Am thinking some sort of appliqué/motif/fabric shapes that I can sew on or even iron (I know that's probably lazy but hey I've got to start somewhere!)

I'd really like felt if possible and am thinking maybe leaves/squirrel/rabbit - don't laugh!

Where does one buy such things? I'm going to Hobbycraft tomorrow for a browse, but any other recommendations?

TIA

Nobody's laughing! You can buy stuff which makes fabric sticky so you can iron it on. It comes in sheets and you cut out the shapes you want in felt, then place these felt shapes on the special paper stuff and iron the paper and it sticks....then you peel off the backing and you can iron the felt shapes to the cushion cover.

Use google to find templates for your shapes....

its called bondaweb and is brilliant fun! John Lewis sells it, once you get addicted www.macculloch-wallis.co.uk/Product.aspx/!4214

Look online for "Gourmet Quilter". She does a good you tube video on fusing felt. The techniqe is slightly different to the instructions that come with bondaweb.

Have fun!
