Stylecraft special DK Attic 24 'Lucy' pack

Has anyone else used the Attic 24 colour selection?

I got it from Deramores after seeing recommendations on here, it's for my first proper 'project', a single bed granny square blanket (only learned to crochet a few weeks ago, and practised by making a dolls blanket for DD in cheap acrylic, which turned out OK)

I love the feel of the yarn, and the 'cottony' look. I'm not sure about all the colours, the yellow doesn't seem to go with anything else, and 'shrimp' makes me feel a bit queasy, (a shame, as they sent me two balls of that by mistake) I'm leaving those two out I think, and it's going to be tricky balancing the more muted colours with the very zingy ones, but I've got 13 three-colour squares so far and loving it on the whole.

I used that pack to make Attic's crochet bag. Turned out really well and i used all the colours. I like the shrimp colour, in my mind it automatically gets changed to coral. I arranged them like a rainbow.

I got the same pack, and have used all of the colours to make butterflies for garlands. I'm not keen on the shrimp, but it does work with the other colours beautifully - just not so nice on its own.

I did a granny stripe blanket with the pack and it turned out beautifully using all the colours. I was a bit hmmm about some of them, but as long as I was careful about which colour was next to which it all worked well. It is now in my daughters student room.

I did another one in more muted colours for my other daughter and loved that one too.

I bought a shade card from Masons with a small strand of each colour yarn on it so that I could play with colour combinations.

I have one which I'm making a blanket and other things with. The colours work together. Not sure I'd want a blanket just made out of shrimp though

I'm on my second Lucy Pack & love it. I'm making a ripple blanket, double bed sized.
