my mum bought me this wool to knit a scarf, have made good headway with it but I don't know how to cast it off. Internet search has not helped.does anyone out there know if I just cast off in the normal way?

I haven't knitted in this particular yarn but have done lots of scarves in other fancy yarns. Without exception I have cast off in the normal manner.
Just go for it
