I have only made the phone/bag charms so far but there are a few others that do a lot more. Whizzz and JM are your best people to chat to.Grin

Have a look at Jilly beads for an idea of prices, very good service.

Basics are a few pairs of small pliers. I ordered a pair of long nose ones, but my others I stole from hubby's tool box.

But by warned, beads are very addictive!Wink

If you want a look at the simple charms I make have a look on my pic trail site \link{http://www.picturetrail.com/dingledel\under beading}

Jewellery wise, I wouldn't know what to suggest as a good starter. I am hoping to start a beading challenge on another site- this month it is making a bookmark. Don't know how I'll get on but it all helps build up experience!

Postman has just been with some more beads, i bought a few from beads united (no good at links), realy good prices and postage and they sent me a catalogue with loads of great beads in, they also sell wire, leather, findings and wooden beads.

Dingle, good idea, a challenge would be good!

If you are interested in the beading challenge you will need to come and join the forum on Crafts by Carolyn. The beading challenge is a new thing- only started last month and gives you a chance to try other techniques that you wouldn't otherwise attempt.

Help will be on hand for us beginners!

I started with simple beaded earrings & corded necklaces. I've also bought plain bracelets & added beads & charms - I'd link to the MN GAllery but I don't know where it is these days !!
My best outing was at the school Xmas fayre - loads of earrings sold at £3 a pair
