Card and paper.

Ebay, canny crafts, The Range, partners, anywhere that stocks Basic Grey products (am in love with their stuff).

USe a lot of pearlescent card, and am going through a glitter card phase righht now.

Also use gallon of embossing powder, but mainly for triple embossing, and different coloured inks.

Have you tried dry embossing? The stencils are cheap (2 or 3 quid max), just tape it to a light source (light box or for me, window) tape the paper or card over it (top side forwards), use an embossing tool to 'colour in' the design in small circles, tape off and done. You can add colour or just leave. Looks fab though.

Aklso I guess my Fiskars Mini Boss, same reason.

What kind of cards do you want to make?

How about trying wire and beads?

Eyelets/brads?

Ribbon?

I bought a Sizzix embossing stencil - a Happy Birthday one - it works really well & quite fancy some more for basic words.
I want to do more stuff with wire & beads on cards. I also think thread on cards looks good - add a few beads & tie along spine of card

Double sided tape. Coloured Card. I buy A4 packs from tescos. It's good thick card and comes in pale blue/pink/lemon/lime green. Its also A4 and makes lovely cards. My computer to make my wordings on my tags.....ribbon (market) brads/eyelets for each corner of my tags.....I get my nicer cardstock from PDA arts & craft. V.v. cheap and incredibly good quality. His backing papers aren't all that though. The print isn't v.good quality apart from the ginghams, they are great. Also get envelopes & cello bags from there. The thing I probably use the most is Silver card. I buy 6 sheets for a pound at the works. There, have I encouraged you to go and spend more money. I haven't used all of my sizzix dies yet.

JARM....backing paopers are a must for me...also brads, buttons, ribbons, fibres etc. Have a go at making some of your own embellishments by layering different textures, mixed media etc

You have only just started out so dont burn yourself out just yet.....you have years ahead of you to try out everything. You can make the most effective cards by using the simplest of things and dont need to spend a fortune on dies etc.
