Hi all, I was scanned today at12w2d. Initially all seemed normal nt 1.5 however sonographer was concerned by baby's head structure although couldn't really explain concerns and wants to re scan next week! Trying not to panic but excessively googling!!! Anyone came across anything like this? Absolutely terrified!!! Many Thanks

Really sorry you are in this position. I hope everything goes ok. Was it the shape that they were concerned about?

Thank you. I'm not sure - I think so. She said something didn't seem right and couldn't seem to elaborate. She has written baby's head is atypical!!! I guess it a horrible waiting game now to get a second opinion!

Totally agonising. I'm really sorry. I asked because we had a similar experience at 20 weeks which I won't go into as it did not have a positive outcome. However I read plenty of people's posts over the past 6 months where concerns at 12 weeks with the brain or skull have rectified themselves and they have gone on to have healthy babies. I suppose you can only wait and hope. Stay strong. Xxx

So sorry to hear that DRS! We lost our first pregnancy due to severe abnormalities so I'm thinking the worst but hoping for a miracle that whatever seems wrong rectifies itself. Thank you for your response

how agonising for you OP. Thinking of you during your wait, and hoping for happy results next time.
I clicked in, as cranium abnormalities found at 20 w, and am waiting for MRI. Not similar really, but didn't want to just read and run. x

We had something very similar at 19 weeks both abnormal shape and 'lesions on the brain', re-scanned a week later and all was well. I remember the worrying though. Try to stay positive.
