AIBU?

To be fed up with e mails begging for sponsorship money?

Lots of my friends are good people doing good things for charity but.... I am tired of receiving several messages from the same people asking for money!

I am on mat leave and no longer being paid so the pennies are tight, I will give money where I can but cannot afford to sponsor every one. One e mail is fine and a good way of communicating but weekly messages are too much

AIBU or tight?

just ignore if you dont want to pay but they probably just send it round to everyone not only specifically for you, i doubt they expect every person will sponser but just giving the chance

I think it's great that people are doing so many charity fundraisers - but the sponsorship does get a bit tiresome.

so YANBU

...maybe make a point of only sponsoring, say, 3 people a year and when you hit that limit just say nicely that you wish them luck but due to limited funds you can only sponsor x people a year and you've already done that.

Me too, I now have three lots to give to justgiving... .it feels a bit heavy sometimes as one might like to choose the charity one supports oneself.

Also the danger of giving too little.... ouch!! Almost worse than not giving?

Discuss!

Thanks ladies, sorry I went quiet!

DH and I have given a little but try to make up for what we can't through voluntary work where we can.

Money is a sensitive issue at the min and the e mails just seem to highlight it more.

Right off to buy my lottery ticket in the hope I don't have to worry about any of the above
