OH Biddy sorry to hear about your scare. Hope you are feeling better soon. I'm sure they didn't mean to be insensitive (I hope), they maybe didn't know what to say. Sending positive vibes.

Chin up Biddy, I can't help how your family are but sending hugs your way. Get well soon.

Perhaps they were being deliberately nonchalant so they didn't scare you? Maybe your Mum was trying to reassure you that it was nothing to worry about by saying it happened to her. As for your grandfather, he probably didn't know what to say. Some people are more socially adept than others and can think of sincere, caring comments. Others can't (I do sympathise - see my post )
How are you feeling now? Have the cramps gone?

How are you feeling? Never mind your family - I doubt it was meant as a malicious thing, but its very easy to fly off the handle when you're frightened and people don't comfort you. I had the same thing, a labour scare at 26 weeks (contracting every two minutes at one point) and everyone was very much "Ah, but you're fine now..." and I wanted to shout "Yes, but that's not the bloody point!!".

Take it easy.

Awh Biddy - you have my most massoovious sympathies. First off, I hope all is well and your baby will be fine.

I have the (soon-to-be-ex) MIL from hell. I had a MC at 15 weeks. When my soon-to-be exH phoned to tell her she said "What are you making all the fuss about, everyone knows there's no life in a child until the fifth month"

And repeated it to my face two weeks later.

Knockraven Christ what a fucking bitch No other words for it. You poor love...

Biddy jiggling like crazy is good If its any comfort my "labour scare" was born eventually five days early, and is now a babbling six and a half month old currently refusing to go to sleep

She's a bitch of the first order Boob.

BTW the other labour scare who I had 3 lots of injections for is now 11 and drives me up the walls. She was 3 weeks early in the end.
