To want a cuddle every now and then?

I really miss showing & receiving affection.

My partner can't take being touched for some reason except holding hands out in public which is nice.

I got used to the fact that I show it more, so don't overdo it at all.

But I really miss having cuddles for the last 4 years or so.

My Dh is very much the same. I know how you feel.

He is a lovely man just doesn't do affection,

No YANBU. I would prefer me and DH to be more touchy-feely, physical touch from him just makes me feel better and lets me know he cares and I have told him this. He does cuddle me occasioinally and sleep tucked together and I'll lie with him on the sofa sometimes (til he starts fidgetting too much). I think I probably am asking too much to want touching all the time and I feel that he shirks a bit sometimes if I touch him, especially in public. But when I've mentioned it he feels pressured so I've just left it really, at least I've got extremely cuddly children!

It used to feel like holding your breath, or being thirsty, but I've even gone beyond that now.

A peck every now & then isn't really it, and that often with a complaint attached.

The main shows of affection I get now are from friends.

But my Dp has such a kind heart.

What do you mean by complaint? At having to do it? Have you ever talked to him about it?

If its more than once or twice in a day it's like 'getoff' or this has got to stop, stuff like that.

Yes I have talked, I get jokingly 'if you don't like it go find someone else'.

I guess some people are just different.
