I've had one of those v annoying runny noses for days - really blocked up and impossible to blow, but constantly dribbling snot.

Oh I do that. My ear screams everytime I blow my nose too. PLUS its only one nostril I have a problem with.

I have been doing the same though.

I just answered the door to some kids looking for sponsors and a breastpad fell out my top.

Sympathies for you here too- mine can get like that, it's Awful! Can you get someone to get you proper Kleenex balsam? They are the only ones that don't tear your skin off IME. And calendula cream helps it heal too.

Was shopping in Sainsbury today. Someone had a massive sneeze and snot catapulted through the air onto my arm. Wished she had shoved bog roll up her nostril.

i smoother vasaline under nose - it does stop the soreness and redness - and then dap with a tissue

I do that too when the need arises. I've never answered the door like that though yet.....

Agree - lots of vaseline and balsam tissues. Poor you - it's really not nice.

Buy some otrivine drops to unblock your nose.

Stick vaseline or epaderm over the bottom and inside of your nose.

Ta daaah!

this is exactly what mini tampons are for.. and they have a handy string!

Vaseline under the nose! Or Burt's Bees ResQ ointment which is even better because it has tea tree oil in it (extra bug killing!). Also, find the softest oldest hankie in the house to use- tissues are evil when your nose gets that bad. You need a 25 year old man's hankie (the hankie, not the man) that's seen thousands of washes. And dab, don't wipe. At night, when mine's like that, I stuff my nose up with such a hankie, or just lie one on my pillow and let it run.
