AIBU?

AIBU in being sick to the back teeth that EVERYTHING is a drama for everyone around me...

Maybe I just know some hugely unlucky people or maybe everyone I know is in the middle of a huge run of bad luck...

But no-one I know can ever JUST "be feeling a bit peeky" - they have to have some huge big deal of an illness or a chest infection that then requires 3 weeks in hospital....their children are never "just a bit grumpy" they are always "fighting off their 18th reoccurrance of croup complicated by black measles" this year...

Its not just one friend either - I have 3 completely seperate friends who just seem to bounce from drama to drama, from illness to illness....from relationship breakdown to "everything being rosy" within about 20 minutes.

Maybe I'm dull....even if I don't feel that great I have to get up and get on with it - my children aren't the type to see any fun or pleasure in a couple of days hiding under the duvet in their jammies watching dvds. Apart from when they had chickenpox, they aren't the type to stay in and need "nursed" when they have a cold or a bit of a virus.

I'm getting really narked by people you can't depend on because no matter what you orgainse or try and organise, some "illness" for someone will always come up at the last minute. Can people only function if they are 100% - can none of my friends function when they feel about 85% or worse, about 50%...

"Come and see me, come and see me, come and see me, come and see me"

"Okay, I'm free all day on Wednesday, I'll come up then"

"Actually, best check on Wednesday morning as I've really not been feeling well....."
