I'm a SAHM, but I've found it so nice to have dh around for more, and it felt far less as if everythign needed to be crammed in.

It's brilliant to have plenty time to just hang out together, isn't it!

Up the revolution! I say three day working weeks for all

Katharine Whitehorn used to say that the big bad secret about the 3-day-week in the early 70s was - everything got done perfectly well.

Having said that, I much prefer the weeks tbh. DH has been mostly ill now for about 2 weeks. The weekends feel like a hard bloomin slog. (not really - not like the single parents have it - but 2 days is plenty for me).

I've been on nights - but it's been good to have DP around rather than the slog to the childminders so I can get some sleep. DD has enjoyed it. We have done proper cooking and restocked the freezer and... oh the minutiae of domestic organisation!

I used to do continental shifts years ago, 4 on, 4 off. Very tiring, especially the night shift but loved getting the 4 day weekend...
