Blimey. It just won't go away will it?

at NKF!

it sounds like my idea of hell.

people will either watch it once and laugh or smile politely and never open it.

How peculiar and self-indulgent of the couple. Why would anyone want a DVD of someone else's wedding - even silly/random moments? Bet she was a Bridezilla.

YANBU - because its a ridiculous situation, not because it is worth being annoyed about.

God how up your own arse do you have to be to send out copies of your wedding a YEAR after the event.

YANBU

Tis a bit of a wanky thing to do tbh

Rest assured though, that everyone will think it's tediostic and the DVD will be used as a coaster within 6 months, you mark my workds.

I think that people who are, by nature, a bit exhibitionist, often cannot really grasp that others are not likewise.

Definately not over-reacting, especially as you didn't realise you were being filmed. I would be hopping. And agree it's a mind-bogglingly wanky thing to want to do a year on.

I just can't believe anyone wants to send a copy of their wedding DVD to all the guests! Apart from us, only my mum and MIL have copies of ours (and you can guarantee dad and PIL haven't watched it!)
Anyway, hen dos should not be revealed to all - it's not fair

Ha...the gift that keeps on giving.like herpes.
How very self-indulgent
most people won't even watch it.

Report
ConnorTraceptive · 06/02/2008 16:23

Don't worry I would imagine atleast 199 of those guests won't watch it anyway

God how awful. I would have hated all that as much as you. YANBU.

As for giving away anniversary DVDs of the wedding....talk about milking every last drop from it

weeeeeirdy weeeird weird. who the hell does this sort of thing??

oh and I think I would be sorely tempted when they hand you the DVD to say "oh is this the long awaited thank you letter?.... oh no, it's a dvd" put on coffee table, without looking and when you leave and "forget" it.

I think this sort of behaviour does carry on to other things though... not quite as bad but we went to a very OUR-wedding-is-everything wedding several year's ago and we now get dvd's of the child, professional photo xmas cards, etc etc. We don't know them that well so think it's a bit weird but try to think of it as sweetly indulgent but they have never once asked after our son!

YANBU.

But to be fair how many people are going to watch/keep it.

I don't watch my own wedding video/CD, i certainly wouldn't be wasting my time watching anyone elses especaily (sp) a year after the wedding.

I wonder what you'll get next year...and the year after.

God you could have years of commemorative memorabilia from 'our special day'.

Then there'll be 'renewing our vows' Good grief. Sympathies.

Why are they sending out anything for their anniversary?

Bit off to be filmed and not be told. Didn't you notice??
