AIBU?

Or is this okay for a typical days food?

Breakfast: 2 slices of Seeded toast with sunflower spread and a tiny bit of marmite. A glass of fresh orange juice (fresh).

Or

Wheatabix (2) with a little skimmed milk and low calorie sweetener sprinkled

Lunch: Usually don't eat it, but if I do, two scrambled eggs or 1 avocado, sometimes on a Davina McCall cracker

Dinner: Vegetable rice with Linda McCartney pulled chicken (not real chicken), or pasta with Quorn mince and a light sauce

Snacks options: Banana, handful of fresh berries, a passion fruit

Does this sound okay? Anything I need to add/cut back on?

If eating out, I will usually order a kid's meal chicken nuggets with chips and a blue WKD or lemonade. Maybe a chocolate brownie and ice cream for desert, or sorbet. But I don't eat out very often at all.

I'm a very fussy eater and struggle to add more variety to what I eat

It sounds like someone with an eating disorder. Which I think you have posted about before?

Your I believe I've posted about eating habits and food before but not recently, I don't think?

I wouldn't think it sounds like someone with an eating disorder, it's over 1000 calories at the very least

Goodness me, I'd be starving on that - it's a tiny amount of food!

Which is far too few calories for an adult female.

What would you lovely lot add to it?

I'm struggling for ideas.
I'm usually not hungry on it, but there is the odd occasion during the day that I'm 'peckish'

Compared to what I’ve eaten today- crikey.

It makes me me wonder if you posted this so we would tell you it’s not enough food. Which isnt healthly feedback to yearn for.

Why do you ask OP?

I think it seems OK on protein but maybe add some more veggies for lunch and dinner?

I'd be starving. I have:

A banana

Chicken in red wine and thyme sauce with potatoes in creamy garlic sauce

Smoked ham and cauliflower cheese bake

Graze snacks

I could imagine that being 1400-1600 kcal on the days that include lunch. It's enough for a smaller sedentary adult.

You say you're fussy so hard to suggest what to add.
You could steam a load of veg to add to the McCarthy readymeal.

Moist definitely not! But my fitness pal (an app) is suggesting it's enough for my height.

I think it may not be sufficient but seems to have everything I need in there-

Protein
Vitamins
Healthy fats
Carbohydrates
Omega 3 (I take capsules but once or twice a week aim to eat a piece of salmon drizzled in lemon juice)

I think you need to add some joy into eating!

YABVVVVVU for spelling Weetabix “Wheatabix” Hmm

Report
ballerinarosebottom · 05/04/2018 22:17

Not enough dairy - try full
Fat milk on the Weetabix and a few strawberries instead of the sweetener.

Lunch - you need to eat this , don’t skip it !
The two eggs aren’t enough. Have them with the avocado on a bagel

Dinner - why not make a proper veggie bolognese with the quorn mince - using veggies in the sauce too

Child’s portion in a restaurant is not normal unless you’re about 4 foot tall !

ballerina I cant, I react badly to too much dairy but I'm okay with a dash of skimmed milk.

tricky I ask because I'm breastfeeding so think I may be using more calories? Sorry,
Didn't include in OP Blush

ballerina that sounds lovely (the dinner). We do occasionally have that but not as often as I would like so I'll definitely start adding that in more often Smile

It sounds a bit orthorexic.

What are your reasons for posting OP? Are you having trouble, receiving criticism, struggling with weight?

What I would add to this - some enjoyment

You do sound like you have some kind of eating disorder but obviously not enough evidence to judge.

On the occasion that you are peckish why don't you have a chocolate bar, a packet of crisps, some ice cream or maybe some peanuts. These are some of my favourites for when I am feeling peckish.

If you dont have an eating disorder and are happy with what you eat and not losing weight or underweight I am unclear as to why you are posting.

If you added lunch, it would be ok.
Bit joyless though, apart from the blue wkd GrinConfused

...Erm I have just seen you are breastfeefing. There is far too little dairy in your diet. I am breastfeeding and on slimming world and having to eat lumps of cheese to make up the required dairy.

i never knew Davina Mcall had her own food range ! if i am not feeling particular hungry when eating out i sometimes order a starter as a main or two sides but always find the kids menu poor choice.

You only mention orange for breakfast as a drink, do you drink anything else throughout the day ? I think it depends on how active you are too
