AIBU to be upset I was refused a sandwich at the hospital

I am prepared for people to maybe say AIBU but pls don't roast me! I went into hospital today for a procedure that requires no food or drink for at least 6 hours before it. I went in before 12, had sedation and procedure was finished by around 1:30. After recovery we were put in a room where some were offered a drink and a sandwich. I was given a drink but when I asked for a sandwich was told only patients who had a certain procedures got sandwiches and mine wasn't one of them! I was allowed a biscuit or offered a piece of cake! I refused both as I didn't want the unhealthy food as I hadn't eaten for many hours. I then had to sit being very hungry watching others eating sandwiches until I was discharged. Am I being unreasonable to be upset by this, there was mention that there may be a spare sandwich but I was never given one so I know I wasn't refused the sandwich on medical grounds.
