To ask for some quick advice on booking a holiday location

I have spent literally days I can't afford looking online to book a holiday -
it's my 40th in Feb, so I want to go on a holiday with dcs. Dh doesn't like package holidays so it will just be me with a 1 year old and a 5 year old.

I would like somewhere in April / May all inclusive with a good quality kids club and kids entertainments and facilities as well as a beach and decent pool.

We want sunshine (but not more that about 75 degrees) and somewhere safe and easy and relaxing but fun.

I'm thinking of Greece (but worried about migrant issue) or Portugal or Cyprus or Maderia or somewhere similar! Help please!! I need to book today really!

I don't want to spend more than a grand all in - flying from Manchester!

Majorca is very child-friendly I find. We stayed in Sa Coma, the hotels all had kids discos every night and an entertainment team for the children. Also it's an under 2 hour flight so with little ones is really easy travel.

April is relatively low season still, some kids clubs wont start until May.
Cyprus is a long flight (over 4 hours compared to 2 and a half to Portugal). Madeira and Cyprus are both more expensive too.
Greece is great in May. If you want a good quality all inclusive then you can't go far wrong with one of the Atlantica group of hotels.

Also consider Tenerife and lanzarote - should be well within budget

Majorca in April/May won't becessarily be particularly warm. we went a couple of times May half term, so end of May. It was pleasantly warm for some of the time (low 70s), but very windy, and it rained several times. Unheated outdoor pool wasn't particularly pleasant Grin

We went last minute to Malta in early December with not quite 2 year old dd and me 32 weeks pregnant and it was absolutely fantastic. Super child friendly, so much to do and see, amazing food, easy transport, cheap, easy flights (Ryanair £40 return from Edinburgh!), and it was lovely and warm. We're planning a repeat trip in April for my birthday when apparently it's at it's best-not too hot but much more open than in December. Highly recommend!

Most kids clubs start in may.
