Humiliated by (NotD)H. Would you be upset by this?

Please bear with me, as slightly long and rather bizarre. This morning (D)H went out to clear ice from both of our cars. So far so good… He found that the car he was due to use wouldn’t start, so jump started it using the other one (mine). He then announced that the windscreen wipers didn’t work on my car (total rubbish , they are fine) and so I would have to take the older car (which hadn’t started). I was as he seemed to be saying it’s OK for me to be in the unreliable car, plus I didn’t believe that the windscreen wipers had suddenly stopped working. I duly took the older car, although he was on the drive at that stage shouting (in a fit of pique that I hadn't believed his lies probably) and bawling very stroppily that 'OK he would take the older car’… That was the end of it - or so I thought, and up to that point it was no more than his usual unreasonable childish behaviour, which I probably wouldn't have thought much of. However, on dropping DS off at school a few miles away, after I had dropped him off and was just about to continue to work, I was started to see (D)H parked (in a dangerous position near a junction), getting out of the other car and gesticulating widely to me across the road. People were staring, presumably thinking it was some kind of road rage attack. He stormed over to me, banged on the car window, which I lowered, (I was hovering in the road, just about to pull away) - he then shouted that I needed to swap cars as he ‘had got the windscreen wipers working’… I refused because (a) I was in the middle of the road and if I’d stopped and got out it would have created an obstruction and (b) the car was running OK by that point (earlier problem was flat battery I think). Also (c) I was not going to be dictated to and ordered about and discombobulated on a public road by his demands. He then stormed back across to where he has dangerously parked the car yelling loudly that I was unbelievable. I saw his gesticulating to another parent who was looking on in a very bemused manner as I drove off. I cried all the way to work because I felt so humiliated and upset. And furious. This is not the first time he has shouted at / humiliated me in public or upset me. I just don’t have the energy to do anything about it at present. But this would count as unreasonable behaviour wouldn’t it…?
