I hate them. They are so utterly shit. Badly acted. Terrible poetry. Pointless.

Actually no point in asking if IABU because I am definitely definitely not

No. I just saw one and thought the same. I have no interest in your new house or your mobile phone.

Yeah there a bit rubbish.

And the Natwest one isn't much better.

They are absolutely shite! It's like they saw the Lloyds one and kind of tried to copy it on the cheap. It's naff and clumsy.

they've actually made me reevaluate poetry and not I realise that I hate it. It's always read in an extra earnest way.

I can't look directly at if. Have to turn over when they come on.

In fact there's been loads of naff poetry ones, though not quite this bad. McDonald's and the cheese (can't remember the brand) one were pants too.

2 lines always stand out to me "Sunday roast after a weeks worth of famine" and "faded mugs". What the heck? I hate them and I have to mute if I'm near the remote (and not in DH's death grip).

Yes, the go on a bit don't they? And the 'off the cuff' delivery makes me squirm.

Cringingly awful, whoever came up with that idea should get the sack.

I hate them too. It's a shame because I otherwise like Hollie McNish so it's a bit gutting to see her do sthing so shite

I am so glad you all agree

I hate the whole "we are so normal, but so thoughtful, and so street, but so earnest" vibe

I have to turn the channel over.

I've never even noticed what they're advertising, which makes them useless as well as cringy.

Report
Queenbean · 12/10/2016 22:34

Exactly! Which is how I've ended up getting the company name wrong

Yanbu. Dh and I whinge about them whenever they're on. Can't stand them!

I hate this ad too. In fact I find it so unbearable I mute the sound for its duration.

I hate them and didn't know what they were for, so let's hope I was not their target customer.

YANBU. I have to mute it when it comes on. That man sitting on the doorstep of some trampy looking house gives me epic rage. His voice is horrible. He looks like he need a wash and a haircut.

Dogs daft as brushes.....

FUCK OFF

YANBU

Smug, wannabe hip, cringesomeness. Nationwide spoken word poetry ads can feck off.

Report
VickyBollard · 13/10/2016 16:04

I guess muting it isn't really what they intended either.

I cried at the one with the girl talking about having a baby as I'm currently pregnant with my first. I haven't seen any others though!

OMG yes, assuming this is the one with the redheaded woman reading a poem about her kid?

Awful.

I like the "England" one, not sure which company it is though.
If it's Nat West, I'll get my coat Grin
