AIBU?

To be missing my boyfriend and feeling a bit lonely?

We've been together nearly a year, but don't live together.
He's gone away on holiday with his kids. I'm going away on Weds with DS and we both get back at the weekend.
DS is with his dad and I'm here by myself. I'm not at work either as I'm on annual leave. I know I should really be enjoying some "me" time but all the same, I feel a bit lonely. I've no DS here chattering away and boyfriend has no phone signal so I'm only speaking to him once a day when he goes into town where he gets signal.
AIBU to be feeling like a bit of a lonely badger today?

Think you need to be a bit more proactive & do something nice for yourself. Don't waste your day away pining over your DS, enjoy the peace & see it as an opportunity

Yes but plan your day....what sort of things do you like doing that you cant normally do. If i had a day to myself id take myself to old town with lots of old buildings. First stop a coffee shop that does chocolate cake in the morning and sit and watch the world go by before enjoying walking around old town streets....(thinking oxford, bath etc). Then in afternoon id go home put a girly film on and open a box of chocolates... Now thats my ideal day....whats yours and do it today afterall you on annual leave! Enjoy your day op x

Thanks. I'm not sitting around moping. I'm going to go to the gym and then into town.
I guess I'm just a bit taken aback by the fact that I do miss him. Whenever my ex was away it was always a blessed relief!

''Whenever my ex was away it was always a blessed relief!''

That's rings a bell for me. I used to love time alone when i was with XH (17 years!).

I miss my now DH (10 years together) like mad if we're separated for more than a day long. Same for him Grin
