Puffin Academy - Education City

I want to get a tablet for my children to use mainly for Education City but something that they can play games on, take photos etc as well. I know that Education City does not work on a kindle. Can anyone recommend a decent tablet that would be suitable but won't break the bank??!!

Did you end up buying a tablet? My daughter has started getting homework on Education City so I am wondering the same thing.

Bit of a 'how long is a piece of string' question - depends on things like screen size etc. You can get decent stuff for 50 quid. You could pay 3-4 times that. does it definitely not work on the amazon fire? For 50 quid that's a lot of tablet for not a lot of money. Whatever you do don't buy an ipad......
