AIBU?

AIBU to want the perfect bra

Has anyone invented a bra for mothers after they've stopped breast feeding?? There's ones to cater for small and large, fake and natural, even nursing but where's the bra for what's left over when you're done? Sad

After 2 kids i'm now deflated suffering from less umph than before and even if i wear a push up bra they just fall out of the top because if you lean over they just spill out due to the skin/boob fat ratio!

Does this exist? AIBU to expect a bra that can push my boobs up anymore (still managed after the pfb!) but without having "fourboob" and them falling around the place or am i destined to live with them in my bellybutton to save myself flashing the general public? Grin

If it's relevant have pretty big boobs (not even a stealth boast because i wish i didn't right now!) so finding a push up for them is a pain in the first place. They just assume you don't need them pushed up after a certain cup size.

Have you tried a full cup with under wire? Debenhams and m and s do them. They aren't the most alluring but really supportive and comfortable. I'm not small but this one works for me. Just make sure it is only full cup and not some strange mix of styles like full cup balcony

Following! I have the exact same problem. Balconette work best for me and I just bought a figleaves just peachy one that is nice but not too dear
Otherwise Elle Macpherson /Heidi Klum are the only brand that work for me and they are ££££

Who measured bra size for you after you stopped breastfeeding?

Go to John Lewis for a proper bra fitting.

I too am well norked, and agree it's not necessarily a blessing. I'm currently breastfeeding dc2 and am filled with dismay already. Remember the pencil test from school? I would fail the pencil case test. Anyway.

Get to Bravissimo and ask for Panache TII. Trust me on this. Best. Bra. Ever.

Also best shop ever. They are boob experts and stock large and unusual sizes.

If there isn't one in your town then I highly recommend a day out. You have to book fittings in advance. Once you know your size you can order online from Bravissimo, or Amazon also stock the Tango.

Don't get the Tango I. Really. It pushes them to the middle but not in a good way. Your boobs will resemble 2 bottoms side by side, with chaffing.

*Panache Tango II. Not TII. I don't know what that is.

I have large boobs and I definitely recommend Bravissimo. I get them shipped here from the UK as there is nowhere good to buy bras here as its so small. Their swimwear is excellent too. Best selection for big boobs and small too.

There's a facebook group called 'boob or bust' and they have great advice.

To summarise their viewpoint, you go with the actual inch measurement around your underbust rather than adding 4 or 5 inches, as modern bras are made of modern materials and don't need it.

I used to wear a 34d but they recommended a 28ff and it is sooooo much more comfortable. With 5 os to really makes the point.

Thanks! Is there a Bravissimo in most major cities? I live in the middle of fucking nowhere the countryside so no bra fitters anywhere near me. I'd happily take a trip to somewhere like the Metro Newcastle or Trafford Manchester though to find a good one! (and shop endlessly for everything else yey)

I also recommend Bravissimo. I went in my post breastfeeding badly fitting bras state. The lady I saw didn't fit me, she just looked at me and handed me some bras which were perfect. I was amazed. I don't buy bras from anywhere else now. Don't go to M&S, they're widely known for being terrible.

Here is a link to their website with all their stores... www.bravissimo.com/m/#stores/

Agree with the pp who recommended their swimwear too.

After much trial and tribulation and several trips to bravissimo I found the perfect bra. It's called the Rebecca bra by fantasie. This is all I buy now in several colours.

I got measured in Boux Avenue recently, well the fitter measured under my bust and then just determined the cup size by looking.
She was spot on. I've gone from wearing a 38DD to a 36F. The difference is incredible! It took about 1/2 stone off me, appearance-wise! She picked out the perfect bra style for me, she really knew her stuff.
I actually wanted to hug her for giving me back some oomph after two babies took their toll Grin
I told her she was a miracle-worker!
(And I've finally learned how to put my bra on without sliding it round already fastened!)

Post bf. You need fantasie with side support. They're great esp for those big of bosom. Even if you're not near a store estimate size with a bra intervention and order a selection. Send back ones that don't fit. Bravissimo brastop Debenhams all sell online.
If you're in the north I would not recommend Sadie the bra lady.
