The gender pay gap

I was arguing with some misogynistic fascist the other day who said that there was no such thing as the gender pay gap (with which I disagree) But it did make me realize that I was not sure of any evidence for it. Does anyone have an opinion or some stats to help me when we next meet?

Just google Gender pay gap UK for links. Of course the gender pay gap is still there, though it's amazing how many mm (mere males) have this notion that it no longer exists.

Well either of you could go google it, there are literally hundreds. But they are irrelevant - they already existed before you argued with him so thri existence in this context is pointless. If he had any intentions of doing googling and reading them, he already would.

He's a misogynist. He doesnt care about the real world, or facts, or what you think. Arguing with him is a total waste of your time and energy. It just strengthens his beliefs and he gets off on it. So why bother? He's a troll, all misogynists are.
Who would come out and admit to being racists, then argue that position?

Wasn't this highlighted in the news recently, something about certain companies having to disclose salaries.

Are you in Wales? There was an incredible piece of work done by Women Adding Value to the economy. It looked at the gender pay gap, equal pay and gender segregation.

Listen to Behind the Statistics on radio 4, they did a bit on what the statistics actually mean and that the headlines are wildly inaccurate.
