I know this is not an AIBU but everyone here has an opinion! So here goes.

I am booking a holiday to the canaries for 1
Week over the Halloween holidays, problem is I just don't know where to go. It's a very much needed break after the passing of both my dad and granda in August. It needs to have 2 bedrooms and be nice!

Ideas guys??

Costa Adeje, Tenerife - really lovely if a little pricey

I like Fuerteventura a lot. Jandia down in the South is relatively quiet and relaxing, no clubs etc, just nice restaurants and bars

We are thinking of the Canaries in October too, but not decided either, so interested to see responses.

You've had a lot to deal with, no wonder you need a nice break. What are you looking for from the holiday?

Darn Froggy it's fully booked! I've actually stayed in a sister place of theirs Los girasoles which was really good.

I prefer Southern Spain to the canaries. It's still nice and warm in October and usually much cheaper. Nerja is lovely for families.

Maderia but really for couples. Amazing walks and excellent food and very hot. Not sure if suitable with children although why not. It has sea.

went last summer - food was surprisingly good for buffet style AI. kids clubs and activities throughout the day (from about 4yo upwards)

we went with other family and they booked it direct (i.e. phoned the hotel) even when holiday company websites said it was fully booked - may be worth a try?

If ceeveebee is referring to the Bahia Principe Costa Adeje hotel, I wholeheartedly agree.

Tricky - I just meant the resort in general, there are lots of nice hotels/apartments there I think. We stayed at baobob suites as prefer not to do AI, but Hotel Suite Villa Maria was recommended to us by friends as well

Sorry, ceeveebee. It is certainly a very pleasant area.
