To be very annoyed when people write N'aw'

Surely it's just 'aww', where does the N come from???!

I've never heard anyone write it like this until recently and now everyone seems to be doing it!

I'd have though it meant no as well. I've heard people say na-ahh (best I can write it how it sounds) & nah for no. And naw as well.

In scotland it's 'naw' and means 'no'. As in 'aw naw' - oh no.

In Scots "all" becomes a' and "and" is 'N so therefore "And all" for as well should really be written as :-

'N a'
