They really need to go in the bin . The "ripped" knee is now a big hole in the knee so when he sits down his boney hairy knee pokes out . They are too big and are not saggy at the bum .

WIBU to "lose" them ?

If my partner 'lost' my jeans in the wash I'd be livid.

You need to tell him that you think he should throw them out. They are his jeans, and yes you WBU if you threw out his clothes without his permission or knowledge.

My partner has a pair of jeans I hate. He looks like Grandpa Walton in them. He won't get rid of them.

If he asks where they are I say they are just going round in the washing machine Wink he's going to cotton on soon enough Sad surprised he hasn't already actually [thicko]

Would you have a problem if he decided there were items of your clothing he didn't like and so threw away?

if you'd be okay with him throwing your favourite piece of clothing away, go for it.

Could they be left at the bottom of the dirty laundry basket for an extended period of time as all the loads are too full for an extra pair of heavy jeans? Wink
Perhaps he won't miss them for months...

Would you be happy with him throwing out items of your clothing which he didn't like?

dp has a god awful pair of jeans that are massive, fall down when hes carrying anything and show his arse to the neighbours while he's gardening. but he loves them and I wouldnt throw them away or "lose" them because If he did the same thing with my fave pants if bs furious. I just cringe inwardly

Stop washing them. Let him do it himself. If they do get into the washing machine, give them a jolly good t-u-g when you empty it to get your stuff in. Grin

I throw out old clothes all the time, if I didn't we'd have a house full of everything Dh ever wore. The first time I bought a whole set of new underpants for him after we got married and threw out the ones he'd had since high school, they were hanging onto the waistbands by a thread. I had to show him how bad they were he didn't see it. Since then he doesn't care, I replace stuff for him all the time. If I didn't he'd look homeless.
Shopping for new clothes isn't even on his radar.
