AIBU?

to want to go on The Apprentice?

Not because I want to be on tv or work for Lord Sugar (I already earn a six figure salary Wink )

I was just re-watching the last series, and I'd love to go on the show purely to see how well I'd do on the tasks.

Also I think I'd be much better at the interviews stages than most of them - firstly I wouldn't greet Margaret like an old friend and secondly I would at least research what Lord Sugar actually does Grin

YABU you may end up having to live with Katie Twatkins mark 2 for 12 weeks

Presuming you ae more intelligent than a goldfish, I imagine you can safely presume you would ace the tasks.

I attended a business awards thingy last year and finalist Nick Holzherr gave a presentation which provided a very funny insight into the programme Grin

YABU

As you already earn a six figure salary (and are possibly a little older than the average age of the candidates?) I would imagine it would be a safe bet that you would do very well at the tasks and the interview stages.

Very true MrsWolowitz

I do think some present themselves better than others. I was annoyed when Yasmin won over Kate - Kate was fantastic.

Kristina Grimes was good too.

But yes Katie Hopkins Angry awful human being.

They wouldn't want you. You sound too intelligent.

YANBU The tasks are really intereresting. I've thought the same thing.
I like to think I would actually think about the task is intended to test, rather than just pilling in.

I was actually joking about the six figure salary ... wish I wasn't.

Also I'm 24 so that probably places me in the middle.

Oooh just remembered - he doesn't hire an apprentice anymore.

He makes an investment instead - I have no brilliant business ideas Sad haha.

My friend got to the final 30 before they picked the ones to go on the show. She said they picked the biggest personalities who had clashed in the audition / recruitment process to make for good telly.

Is there a new series soon? I love that programme, although think I actually prefer the junior version.

One of my husband's relatives was on the apprentice (did very well on the show)

I think it can be a great opportunity (depending on how you act/ are portrayed)

You were joking? Well, you're clearly a consummate bullshitter. You'll fit right in Grin

YABU with your undoubted entrepreneurial skill you'd be wasting your time on the challenges. Just start your own business.

I won't be applying. I can't even count the number of figures in my salary

I have a few friends who got quite far through the initial interview stages (to get on the show) and they all said that it was very much a case of if you didn't argue your way in, you were out. Thats probs why they are all arrogant.
One friend said you needed to shout people down etc in the team "debates" and it was EXCEPTIONALLY competitive - in a very high testosterone, putting others down kind of way.

If you do well in that kind of environment then go for it!

Personally, it makes me very uncomfortable (I'm reasonably shy) and thats why I didn't apply
