To think there is no acceptable reason to poo in the shower at the gym (and lave it there)

Honestly I am BAFFLED why anyone would think this was okay.

My friend went in to the shower before work and there it was a lone turd sad and it's a communal shower (mens).

Were they not worried somebody would come whilst they were shitting in the shower? hmm

Annie I find 45 mins of running is my trigger. I keep my runs to 44 mins or less!

Judging by all the posts, poos seem to crop up in random place more than I thought...
hoping somebody name changes and steps forward as being a phantom pooer

I'm a runner and the, erm, bouncy nature of running often shakes things loose and I get caught short. Since I run in woodland in can always pop behind a bush. But I often wonder what city joggers do. confused

And perhaps which newspaper it was! Sadly he died a few years ago, so I can't ask him. I'm pretty sure he didn't deliver it, though!

HazeltheMcWitch Sat 05-Jan-13 18:05:21

TheCatIsEatingIt - whether it is better or worse really depends on what he did with the newspaper afterwards...

TheCatIsEatingIt Sat 05-Jan-13 18:02:20

When my dad was a kid with a paper round, he got caught short one morning and pooed in someone's garden. He wiped with a newspaper - not sure if that makes it better or worse.

Hope THIS isn't a reverse AIBU grin

she worked worked in a fit shop and found someone had poohed in one of the display sheds one days.

Pandemoniaa Sat 05-Jan-13 17:26:14

Or do they employ such cognitive dissonance that they don't realise it's them? "Oh pooing in a shower, how disgusting." <goes to shit in sink>

PMSL. On the floor.

I'm dying for a culprit to come on and give us an explanation. Would love to know what it's all about.

I think other posters hit it on the head with the dirty protest theory.

BluelightsAndSirens Sat 05-Jan-13 17:13:22

We had this recently at work. A big ol turd left on the floor.

Who would do that???

Ah sorry in my horror i must have missed that. I am shock that people really do this. In all seriousness i think they must have some sort of problem to behave like that.

She was my DH's colleague, not mine. She came back after xmas and claimed to have absolutely no memory of what happened, mumbled something about a stomach bug and generally kept her head down I think.

What did you say to the employee when she came back to work Griffindor ? Or did she never come back and then hand in her notice ?

Fakebook Sat 05-Jan-13 16:23:28

My face reading this thread is: confused hmm shock

I always get reminded of the shit scene in Slumdog Millionaire when I read threads like this. Bleugh.

I used to work in a record shop. There was a guy who worked in the Classical section in the basement who used to shit into carrier bags and wee into bottles, leaving it in the fire escape corridor.

twinklesparkles Sat 05-Jan-13 16:10:36

Maybe it was a small child.. But still.. The child would have an adult with it (presumably) sad

In the local public toilets there's been a recent take over of poo graffitti ... Everytime I go in there someones rubbed shit up the walls ... Its happened at least half a dozen times in past month or so sad

I mean honestly ... Its bad enough doing a shit on the floor or something, but picking it up and rubbing words onto the wall??

Some people are just artistic I guess grin

Actually, my mum tells a story about my dad and her coming home on the bus (years before I was born) and him getting caught short and having explosive diarrhoea in the back of the local primary school. At night thankfully.

It is not something he has ever done before or since to my knowledge - but they do seem to find it hilarious...I'm another of the, cant go except in my own loo type.

Pukes in mouth and wishes i had never read this thread.

I woukd assume that people who did this have mental health issues or abuse/neglect issues from childhood.

Schmoozer Sat 05-Jan-13 15:55:03

I wonder ....
How many of us are pooing and mumsnetting at the same time ??

Schmoozer Sat 05-Jan-13 15:54:14

My dad said he took a poo whilst walking home from the pub one night, he blames the kebab.
I saw a small child walk down a supermarket aisle pooing as they went .....
Poo,everywhere !

Schmoozer Sat 05-Jan-13 15:52:35

A guy i knew in london used to take the tube to work,
He said that he pooed on the tube train once because he needed to go ..
He said it was an empty carriage and he changed carriage at the next stop ...

WeAreEternal Sat 05-Jan-13 15:47:05

I wasn't at all implying that it is the kind of thing that people with digestive problems such as IBS do Greg,
I only mentioned it because looking at the video it does look as if she was 'caught short' and that the poo wasnt well formed, to steal Feelingoid's descriptions.
The way the woman just pulls down her trousers, does her buisness then pulls them back up and walks away in the space of mere seconds implies to me that she was suffering from a sudden case of diarrhoea rather than just fancying having a poo in a supermarket.

So that's why people call being drunk shitfaced, is it? hmm grin

We seem to have a few of these stories in my friendship and family circles... Apart from the few I posted upthread, DH just reminded me of an incident in his office a couple of years ago. The team went out for some lunchtime beers on the last working day before xmas. The team administrator got legless on a few glasses of wine and was put in a meeting room with a glass of water to sober up. About 15 minutes later they went to check up on her and she had shit on a chair and smeared it on the board table, door handle etc.

By the time this was discovered she had taken herself home. About three weeks later she handed her notice in unsurprisingly. HOWEVER, on the very same day her boss handed in his notice too - turns out they were both leaving to go to the same company and he would still be her boss!

Last year she was a contestant in a TV show (think take me out/tool academy type nonsense) and the guys were planning to sell the story if she made it big. Of course she was voted off first week.

DH works in a small specialised industry where everyone knows everyone. Pretty sure everyone now knows about shit-gate!
