Is nowhere sacred from the slimy fuckers? It's having a merry old slime all over the rack. Dh won't be home to remove it until after 4.
I need new dishes, a new dishwasher and new plumbing. Donations welcome. Must come from slug free home.
Is the salt topped up in your dishwasher?
You could always remove it yourself and run another cycle on the dishwasher..

Throw a load of salt at the fucker. They completely freak me out.

I managed to get rid of it with the barbecue tongs. Will need a new pair of those now too
. It was all pale and sneaky looking [shudder]
There are slug trails all over the inside of the door. And my dishwasher doesn't do anything above a 70 degree wash! [wails] I need it hotter!

Redblanket, they make me feel ill. Last winter one tricked me into picking it up with my bare hands by looking like a piece of courgette on the floor. And another one burst under my foot about a week later. I had to get dh to take my sock off and deal with the clean up. They have traumatised me for life.
I am still trying to convince DH that we should have a pet duck. DSiL has one and it eats all the slugs in her garden. I NEED a duck!

Adding a duck to my list of essential things to buy.
We have a composter at the bottom of the garden, all the slugs should be over there not fannying around with my dishes!

Pour a saucer of beer.
Drink it.
Step drunkenly on slug.

This is the reason why I keep telling DP that we have to keep the doors closed on the washing machine and dishwasher when they're not in use. Otherwise any little buggers nasty things can crawl in.
Does he listen? Does he hell!

Oh poor you. I hate them. After you get rid of it. Run the DW on the hottest with vinegar. I read the vinegar on another thread. I'd have to do it at least twice if not three times. I put salt on one once (can't even bear to say the s word. It was horrible. So couldn't do it again.

We once went camping and the site was infested. They were in the tent and <boak> the coolbox. How I don't know? DH was unsympathetic as they don't bother him. I won't go back there. I still shudder at the memory of it.

Kill it. With fire.
HATE slugs. We used to get them in our kitchen, and I stepped on them with bare feet a few times <boak>. We got a cat (I hoped he would deal with the problem), and the lazy beast refuses to go any where near them.

Ew - I hate slugs. I've also stood on them bare foot in the morning.
A few weeks ago I put my hand right on one that was happily climbing up my dining room curtains. I must have jumped back about 6 foot and spent the morning shuddering!.
I'm so glad I'm not alone with the house slug problem.

Juniper, that slug maze is fantastic. I'd like to see the 'after' pictures.
(Actually no, I probably wouldn't.)

Funny how snails are cute but slugs are disgusting - just because the poor slugs are homeless.

Don't like snails either. DS2's nursery has 2 giant ones in a tank. Ewww.

Giant African land snails?
Slugs and snails are great, cockroaches are truly eugh though.
Disgusting things. Urgh. I moved house once because every morning there were snail trails in the bathroom.
Gross.

Had to re-post because I've just been outside and discovered that slugs and/or snails have eaten my first every home grown strawberry. I saw it was ripe, picked it, and when I turned it over, it was hollow!
Slimy bastards.
I kept finding them in my kitchen last year. I spent hours filling in anything that looked like a hole in my outside wall with tinfoil.
It looks like I'm repelling an alien invasion.

Stick fine mesh over the pipe outside where the dishwasher drains, that'll be where they're coming in.
