They got the only try, and France's scorer has a Welsh name.

YANBU

really doesn't feel like the best team won
(plus the french scored no tries) plus they didn't play well and the Welsh have been hot

I thought that about the ref too (his name sounds French) but isn't he Irish?

The ref was Alain Rolland and he's Irish

Irish but with a French father. It's the inconsistencies in refereeing that is so gutting. If you are going to apply the red card for that, do it for everyone in every match. There were lots of examples of similar tackles getting a yellow card or a penalty.

The Welsh should have won anyway but Hook and Stephen Jones had poor games which ultimately cost them a deserved place in the final.

France will get steamrollered by whoever wins the other semi.

It was very sad and I'm English.

I wasn't sad when England crashed out because they behaved with contempt and didn't play well.

Have a Daffodil

Well done Wales. Should have taken your chances though as the French had a poor game.

The scoreboard disagrees and that is all that matters. I doubt France will take the cup home.

The French didn't offer anything to that game, and the Ref killed it with poor judgement. He's meant to be one of the best rugby Ref's in the world and may be looking at a penalty fine for a shit-poor decision. It cost one of the brightest teams in the tournament the best shot at winning. True, Hook and Jones had good shots at collecting some vital scores, but 1 man down, they were up against it.

And showed true courage.

Gutted doesn't even begin to describe it. It's a flat day in the Moth household Sad

Thanks LPO. I might progress to a Wine later on. Sad They were great though, and yes, it's a pity about the kicks.

I'm proud of our little nation though - the team have been amazing ambassadors and have won the hearts of many other nations. My welsh flag is still waving.
Thanks for the post fridascruffs. I'm glad you've put the Welsh on MN today Daffodil

And thanks MN for the very fitting emoticon Daffodil
