Its just been hectic.

Highlight came tonight. In from work, let DD2 out on her scooter for 10 minutes prior to going out while I tried to settle my dodgy tum. Cue hysterical screaming, she had fallen off face first onto the ground, her nose was swelling, thought it might be broken. Two hours in casualty to discover no deviated septum and a 7 year old nose is cartilege not bone so nothing to be done (not sure if its cracked or just swollen still!!)

To sainsburys. Discover no pound coin for trolley. Send DD1 to get one from car. None there. To cashpoint. Not working. To self service till as huge queues else where to buy a mag and get cashback. Self service does not do cashback. Had to drive to small Tesco Metro to get cash, back to Sainsburys, get it changed for trolley.

Came home from work at 5:30, finally got food at 10. I am feeling very hard done by.

Any other horror stories? Apparently its been a full moon.

Ds begged to go to 'the sandy park' the park in our old town has a sand and water bit, we agreed. Then saw the nice weather this afternoon and drove to the seaside instead and he went NUTS he's four, and very ungrateful. My internet was finally connected today, my net book crashed, my pc got dropped and just screams when switched on and dps pc is not reconising any monitor we attach. Oh and my savings left by my late grandma were invested by the bank and lost £1265 leaving me with £38. Shit, shit week

Sorry you had a shit time OP but just for future reference...the manager would have been able to get you a trolley without you needing a coin.

Well they do in most stores as far as I know.

Keep one of these on your key ring:

There was a new moon last Monday 29 August - maybe you should plan to stay home when it's full?

I should have added that I had one of the token things on my keys and for some reason they dont fit in our Sainsburys. They do at other shops which is weird. I didnt know about asking the manager, thats a useful tip, I am notorious for not having cash on me although I always keep a coin in the car but it must have been spent in an emergency this week. It was such a minor thing but talk about last straw!

Jj you beat me - nothing as bad as all the money getting lost. Hope you get the bb sorted soon.

Off to check for next full moon to make sure I dont leave the house for a full week....

(also, ask sainsburys trolley staff in car park next time - they should let you have one)

JJandtheBean my ds(6) had a hissy fit because we dared to take him and his younger sister to Paulton's Park (where Peppa Pig World is?) instead of going straight to the promised Premier Inn!! You can probably guess how unimpressed I was...

Rhonda, that does indeed sound like a shit week.

I'm also glad this week is nearly at an end. It was my birthday this week. I got next to no cards, no presents and just had a generally fucking shit week looking after my kids alone, because I am a single parent. (Pity-Party for 1 please).

Rant over......and an extra "bollocks" thrown in, just for good measure.

Smile Ahhhhh, that feels better! Smile

Grin at panda,

DS slipped over at swimming pool, cut open chin, needed gluing. Have spent the rest of the week trying to stop DS (has autism) from picking off the steri-strips/replacing dressing on top to stop him getting at steri-strips

and equivalent weeks seem worse at different times of the month... and depending on how much sleep you got.
