AIBU?

To think some people just have the knack of making their lives seem very glamorous?

This is a lighthearted thread BTW

My friend is one of those people. She posts gorgeous photos on Facebook and her blog, just of day to day things that she her husband and 2 DCs do, but she is a great photographer and they are all just naturally stylish people, and her life just looks fantastically glamorous.

They don't have much money, and buy their clothes mainly in charity shops but they all look all boho and effortlessly cool. Their home is decked out in vintage finds, and again charity shop bargains but it just all works.

I am totally jealous! :-)

Your friend obviously has artistic flair. Lucky her!

Yeah that's the phrase I was looking for; "artistic flair"

This week she's posted several blog posts, and photos of things like baking with her daughter, and a walk through the woods, but it all just looks so great!

It's easy to engineer a glamerous life.

Bet he's an axe murderer in his spare time.

Wish I had artistic flair. In our house, our tight budget means that lots of things in our house just look cheap or tatty. If only I had the knack - I'm also very envious of people who are able to look fabulous/ make their homes look amazing for next-to-nothing. Envy

She'll be in on it too,

'Why don't you take a look at DHs latest hobby Bubbles, he's very enthusiastic about getting together enough logs to last us the winter.'

'Yes Bubbles, come and take a closer look at the huge log I chop them on Mwhahahaha' etc etc.

Evil laugh = dead (arf) givaway.

Right, definitely no coffee around there again then hehe

Twolittlemonkeys, we are the same about things looking cheap or tatty. My friend does things like buying a dining table from a boot sale for a tenner, buying a length of floral vinyl fabric for another tenner, covers the table and chairs, and it looks all Cath Kidston-esque. Then she posts gorgeous photos of it all on her blog...
