and burping in public!!

for some reason my two boys aged 3 and 4 have learnt how to 'burp' - like little boys do. I hate it.

My oldest (4.6yrs) can do it really loudly but the sound and the noise makes me feel sick

I have just been on the phone to my sister and low and behold she does the loudest most disgusting burp down the phone eurgh.

Is there any need for it at all? No so why do people do it?

and yes i am in a fucking mood today Wink

I totally agree with you! There is just no need! I dread the day my ds starts doing this, I am constantly nagging dp to stop so he doesn't think its okay!

Actually and funnily enough my DH burps but they are that i jump more than feel sick plus his down sound as if he just about to throw up iykwim!?

Hes the only one i cant get annoyed at with for it. Anyone else and its Eurgh

I know its a natural body thing but fgs people cover your mouth and do it quietly, or if you have to really really sound like you are going to throw up and explode into the loo, please piss off and so it there. That is what i feel like saying to anyone i hear burp.

Don't see the big deal myself! Why would a burp make you feel sick?!

"like little boys do."

YABU to assume it's a boys trick...my lovely DDs BOTH do it...it is gross in the extreme and I am tired of telling them! I hate it from adults too!

YANBU. My almost 10 YO DD is trying to learn to burp the alphabet. She is unable to whistle and thinks this will be the next best thing.
I haven't the foggiest where she got the idea from although I have my suspicions. Last night she came out of her school play rehearsal with a gaggle of other 9/10 YOs talking about bitch slapping someone. I was very cross.

Gurgly burps are grim. Definitely make me feel sick and especially disgusted at myself when they escape me outside the house. I have the perfect excuse (40.5wks pregnant) but I still hate it.

I don't mind if someone burps by accident, but if they are repeat offenders or just couldn't be bothered then they get basilisk stare or (if I know they well enough) a comment.

BIL does this and thinks it's hilarious. He comes into our house and just lets rip. It's disgusting and although I like how comfortable he is in our home in general, I hate how he is so rude like this.
