DP says 6 months. I say 3. Please help resolve this!

I'd say once you have the fine motor skills to hold the pen.

FabbyChic · 17/03/2011 20:59

I agree with Bike! and not a moment before.

Best thread title. Very good. I say from newborn, why wait?

VajazzHands · 17/03/2011 21:00

As soon as you know for sure he doesn't have overly sensitive skin. Photo shopping one would be funnier though

renlovesyou · 17/03/2011 21:01

Thanks for the advice guys! Do you think a Poirot or a Hitler would be the best look?

How old is the baby? You may have left it too late.

Hassled · 17/03/2011 21:01

I'm with your DH. 3 month olds seldom have the maturity to carry off a faux moustache. They need the extra gravitas that those few months give them.

4FoxAche · 17/03/2011 21:01

You know, I've often been very tempted to do this when watching either one of the babies sleeping.

One is 6months so i'd say that's about right!

MrsKarteDor · 17/03/2011 21:02

Or a proper fake furry stick-on....

Honeydragon · 17/03/2011 21:02

This is my kind of thread. Ds had Egyptian day recently and dh was horrified at my sheer desperation for the day to come so I could get the eyeliner oiut and make up ds Grin

KingofHighVis · 17/03/2011 21:03

Not until you've the ears pierced

tethersend · 17/03/2011 21:03

Buck convention and go for a Stalin.

Lulumama · 17/03/2011 21:03

did curly tache and glasses and a small beard on both DCs around 6 - 8 months, looks better when they can sit up IMO x

brown eye liner looks better than pen and comes off easier Wink

VinegarTits · 17/03/2011 21:05

you cant draw a mustache on your baby Shock

unless you draw a pair of spectacles to go with it

renlovesyou · 17/03/2011 21:11

FabbyChic · 17/03/2011 21:15

Ha ha ha you would need some eyeliner pencil for that!

jaggythistle · 17/03/2011 21:21

my DS would love it if i did! he'd be posing at the mirror for hours.

he's a bit of a Mr Pontipine fan.

he's 18 months though, would probably have to do it at night. and it would currently be erased by snot trails.

Soon...

Makingaminime · 17/03/2011 21:23

Newborn. But wipe off the gunky birth stuff first or the eyeliner won't take too well voice of experience

QOD · 17/03/2011 21:24

YOu are never too young to have a black nose & whiskers drawn on, perhaps compromise - start with that and move on to a 'tach at 6 mths?

claretandcheese · 17/03/2011 21:24

Handlebar. With a pipe. At any age.

Lulumama · 17/03/2011 21:25

don't forget comedy eyebrows too !

PurveyorOfWoo · 17/03/2011 21:29

Best thread title ever!

Though I did read it as an acceptable age for YOU not the baby. Was thinking you could probably get away with it up to about 24 as a bit of high jinks. Anything over lacks a certain gravitas Grin

DirtyMartini · 17/03/2011 21:39

Thank you for this thread. DP and I have just agreed to do this to both kids at the weekend.

IWillNotNeverEatATomato · 17/03/2011 21:41

Liquid eyeliner work a treat

pop them in a pirate outfit to contextualise

thought I might share photographic evidence of my moustachioed (sp?) DS (was 3 in the pic) have a look in my photos

KenDoddsDadsDog · 17/03/2011 21:42

I did a go compare moustache for DDs 1st birthday. Did I go too far?
