YANBU in general. For many it is much welcomed time alone, a break from family. I've recently started volunteer work and I love it because it's child free!

BUT it shouldn't be assumed in the sense of "you get time alone at work therefore you don't need proper relaxation time at home" - is that what you're getting at?

Yes it is! Hello Heart! I enjoy work,I teach for an hour a day at DS school we also have DD12 and DD2.It just seems nobody understands that I need time ALONE for a bit!I suppose that I'm being over emotional but I feel that my usually understanding hubbie and mom are not seeing how I feel.

YANBU! My mother refused to babysit for me - ever - as I apparently go to work to socialise! I was a single parent of 3 for nine years. My mother is a fruit loop. We don't really get on.
