to think that if the Council fixed little things I wouldn't begrudge Council Tax so much?

Every day I walk into town and cross at new lights installed to help zombie eager students cross a road that was perfectly cross-able without. Only now the camber of the road means that a slight amount of rain can result in a channel either side waiting for unsuspecting 'crosses' to stand too close to the road and get soaked. Get the leaping boots on and re-live those Gladiator days to make it to the other side with shopping and you start to loose any dignity you may have had if managing to avoid a soaking. Once passed this you come to a strip of pavement behind the bus depot leading into town. The gutter of the building has leaked for over 4 years consequently cutting off half of the pavement to pedestrians who don't want a thunderous torrent of water on their heads. Much squeezing past goes on on this stretch as there is no other choice but to walk in the road.
Is it just me or are these the little things that get us all a little miffed on a daily basis?
