What is it with all the "am I pregnant" threads?

In this day and age, when a test costs £1 from the £1 shop and you can know the results in less than an hour (even allowing for the time it takes to go and buy the damn stick to piss on) do grown woman still post on the internet asking "am I pregnant"?

Because they want to know if they are pregnant 5 minutes after having shagged, and tests don't work that early.

I prefer the advice 'Tie a frog to your stomach, after 8 months take off the string. If the frog stays on your stomach on its own, you are pregnant.'

maybe they are wondering about it before the time to do a test? like personally i am wondering so i thought ill buy the first response one but went to boots it was 30 quid!! so i thought no thanks might aswel wait... not that i would make a thread though to ask random people on the net but its not that you can always take a test as soon as you wonder.
i went on ebay though and got some 'early tests' for well cheap, but waiting for them to come dont kno if they are any good - could not beleive the price!! if they do work ill not be buying from boots again you get 5 or 10 for a couple of quid!
